At the heart of the formula are two powerhouse skincare ingredients: bakuchiol and tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THDA), a stable, oil-soluble derivative of vitamin C.
Bakuchiol: A Botanical Alternative to Retinol
Bakuchiol has become one of the most exciting botanical ingredients in modern skincare—and there is clinical research behind the hype.
In a randomized, double-blind 12-week study, 0.5% bakuchiol used twice daily significantly improved wrinkle surface area and hyperpigmentation. Researchers found no statistically significant difference in these outcomes compared with 0.5% retinol, while participants using retinol reported more scaling and stinging.¹
That makes bakuchiol an especially interesting option for people who want to address the visible signs of skin aging without necessarily reaching for a traditional retinoid.
A More Formulation-Friendly Vitamin C
Our serum also contains tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THDA), a lipid-soluble vitamin C derivative valued in cosmetic formulation for its stability and ability to penetrate the epidermis.²
Vitamin C plays an important role in antioxidant protection and collagen synthesis, while topical vitamin C has been extensively studied for photoaged and uneven-looking skin.³ Research specifically involving THDA-containing topical formulations has also reported improvements in pigmentation, fine lines, smoothness, firmness, and elasticity, although results from multi-ingredient formulas cannot be attributed to THDA alone.⁴
More Than Two Active Ingredients
We surrounded these two featured ingredients with a carefully selected blend of skin-supporting ingredients:

Squalane provides lightweight emollience and helps leave skin feeling soft without a heavy, greasy finish.

How to Use This Face Serum
After cleansing, lightly splash your face with water or spritz with your favorite hydrosol, then gently massage a few drops of serum over the face and neck using upward and outward motions. It can also be applied directly to dry skin.
Use morning and/or evening, followed by moisturizer if needed. During the day, always finish your skincare routine with broad-spectrum sunscreen.
While your skin may feel softer and more nourished relatively quickly, visible changes in fine lines, texture and uneven skin tone take time. Consistent daily use is key, and we recommend giving your skincare routine at least several weeks before evaluating results.
